Discover our municipal campsite **: It is open from May 1 to September 30, located on the old RN 7 in the town of LA PACAUDIERE (exit n° 59), halfway between Paris and the Mediterranean. Located 20kms from Roanne and 30 from Vichy. The campsite is located on the edge of the village 900 meters from the town center with all shops, pizzeria, restaurant, bakery, butcher, bar, tobacconist, pharmacy, doctors... Large area 500 meters away.
We offer 28 pitches with electricity and water, 5 chalets including 1 PMR, 1 lodge tent. For your leisure it has a heated and supervised swimming pool. The campsite also offers various free activities on site ping-pong, pétanque court, paddle court, city-stadium and with financial participation 2 tennis courts, and mini-golf course.
The campsite staff is able to provide information and advice on how to discover La Pacaudière and its region.

Fishing: Possibility of fishing in the town in the pond at Picamot, or in the neighboring towns at the pond of La Borde in the town of Vivans, or in Arçon sur Changy... or in the canal or in the Loire.
Walking / mountain biking: Many trails or paths for walking and/or mountain biking.
Le Petit Louvre: Take advantage of your holidays in La Pacaudière to discover these cultural places nearby: On the village square dominates the Petit Louvre, according to tradition, the Petit Louvre would have been a hunting lodge for Duke Charles III of Bourbon dit the Constable or even for François 1er. More likely, its first destination would be a post office and a sumptuous dwelling, a stopover in the service of the officers and the King's mail on the main royal road from Paris to Lyon. The building may also have housed the post office (notably in 1733) or the Maréchaussée brigade (notably in 1750).
The association of friends of the Petit Louvre and the municipality offer quality exhibitions, visits and events from June to September to relive this historic monument since 1932. It is remarkable for its framework, its graffiti classified since 1986 and for its painted decorations classified since 1984.

Ambierle: Located 8 km from a village of character, with its Priory. This conventual building built at the time for seven monks was built between 1753 and 1757. It is emblazoned with the arms of Cluny and Cardinal de la Rochefoucauld, superior of the order. Walking along its facade towards the apse of the church, one can observe at the base, the remains of the building from the Romanesque period (11th century), on which the Gothic church is built. This building now houses the premises of the Town Hall and accommodation upstairs. Travel back in time by visiting the Alice Taverne museum which offers over 1000 m² of collections representing the life of the Roanne and Foréz countryside between 1840 and 1940.
The LA COTE ROANNAISE wine route: La Pacaudière is the gateway to the north and BULLY to the south, passing through St Jean -St Maurice, the Côte Roannaise vineyard spreads over a hillside 20 km long, 215 hectares of vines are nestled in the foothills of the Monts de la Madeleine, between 300 and 550 meters above sea level, pampered by around thirty winegrowers, all lovers of this hilly land with generous soils anchored to the roots of the Loire. This vineyard has held the controlled designation of origin since 1994; 14 municipalities are included in the AOC.
